The team at Crompton is nothing short of amazing. Our family was planning a road trip and we needed to have our F-150 serviced. I showed up on a Friday afternoon, and the incredibly friendly and... accommodating Tammy at the front desk managed to get me in for the following Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, I had a comprehensive detailed report (with pictures) of the inspection they had already completed. Tammy called me and walked me through what they were recommending to get done now and what could wait. She quoted me a price and the work was completed by noon on Tuesday. The owner, Riaz, made a point of coming to meet my wife and I when we dropped the truck off, and when we picked it up. This kind of customer service is a rarity these days. Derek is also a Great guy who is incredibly personable. I cannot say enough about the team at Crompton. It’s safe to say we will be lifetime customers. If you’re looking for a a great shop with integrity, look no further than Crompton. Highly recommend!! 5 stars across the board.read more

My family's two cars have been serviced by Crompton Brothers Automotive for decades, and I have the highest praise for their work. Our cars are 25 and 30 years old, so the cars go in for repairs a... few times per year. The care given by Crompton's is why the cars are still running so well.Riaz and Derek are very knowledgeable, thorough in their work, and very honest. I cannot tell you how many times (including today, April 2025 with Derek) that they have said that there was no need for parts to be replaced, and that they just did some minor tweak at no charge to me. Honesty is their strong point, right up there with quality workmanship. As well, Tammy calmly manages the appointments and paperwork for this busy business. Everyone there is great!read more

This shop comes highly recommended, and I can definitely see why! My usual mechanic books weeks in advance and I really needed to get my absolute lemon of work van (don't get a Dodge Grand Caravan... unless you love wasting money on repairs) looked at as soon as possible. Tammy, who is very sweet and friendly, was able to schedule me in the next day. I spoke to Derek, who was very kind and patient with me. He explained the issue my vehicle has, and went over my extended warranty policy and even offered to speak to them for me. In the end we realized my warranty was expired due to mileage, and he told me matter of factly that the best course of action would be to trade my vehicle in for a more reliable make. Although it wasn't what I was hoping to hear, I'm very happy he was so honest with me. It built a lot of trust, and it gave me the push I needed to search for a new vehicle - which I then took to them for a pre purchase inspection the following week!I'm very grateful that I came to this shop and I'll definitely be back.read more

I was advised by my brother to have a car pre purchase inspection on any car. Riaz’s team found an oil leak on the motor of the car during its inspected. The leak was not found by the dealer’s own... 130 point inspection. So I didn’t buy that car. I brought another car in and they found 0 wrong and was happy as can be. Fast Friendly No Rip-Offs. I had a flat tire which Crompon diagnosed to a drill hole in my rim. I had originally gone to Canadian Tire hoping they would cover my flat under warranty, but they... refused to do so; saying the tire had no leak. Seems I was victim of some sort of new and cruel vandalism! New rim, new tire, and I was good to good the next day. The safety and service checks are awesome because Crompton are diligent concerning identifying small issues, before they become expensive issues. I've been to Crompton before, for brakes and clutch. The speed of service, quality work, and price can't be beat !!!!read more

I was referred to this shop by a friend and took my truck in yesterday to get some maintenance done.I went there a second time to get a pre vehicle inspection... and had absolutely no regrets. My radiator blew on the road last Sat., I called a friend in the area who recommended Crompton Bros.Automotive here in Burnaby. Their recommendation was validated by the BCACC driver/mechanic who... towed my car there Sat. for repair. I followed up with them when they opened on Mon morning and they were already getting it up on the hoist to make an assessment. They soon followed up with a detailed written report and had the rad and temp gauge replaced and the engine checked out the following morning. The Crompton guys have not changed since the first time I dropped my old Mazda Minivan in 2017 for a repair. Recently, I needed to have my Subaru 2007 serviced after the check engine light came on.... As is the case with old cars, there are hidden issues that may come up once an expert mechanic deals with the issue at hand. We brought our converted gmc skoolie because we needed an oil change and a diagnostic related to a "check engine" error. After the diagnostic was ready, they sent a complete report of what they... found in a good state, the things that we needed to keep an eye on and the repairs needed to continue our trip in complete safety. After giving us some advice, they let us decide which repairs had to be done. They were transparent about the prices for parts and labor since the beginning and got the job done as soon as possible and in the best possible way. They also let us and our cats stay in the shop while we looked for an accommodation for the night.
